Michelle Brugiere, Licensed Massage Therapist in Ridgway, CO

With over 30 years of experience, I’m passionate about helping others achieve vibrant health, well-being, and empowerment through the art of massage therapy. My journey in the healing arts began in Northern California at Heartwood Institute, and I spent five years working in a spa in Santa Cruz. In 1992, I traveled to Northern Thailand to study Thai Massage and deepened my understanding of bodywork. I later moved to Santa Fe, NM, where I became a licensed massage therapist at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, followed by six years working at the renowned Japanese spa, 10,000 Waves.

Through my experiences, I’ve gained invaluable knowledge of the human body and honed my skills in combining both Western and Eastern approaches to massage. This approach includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian Massage) alongside Eastern philosophies like Chi (energy flow) and pressure points connected to organs in the body, such as those found in Shiatsu and Thai Massage. I have also studied Ortho-Bionomy, a method inspired by osteopathy that emphasizes the body's self-healing and self-regulation abilities. I believe the human body is fascinating and continually enjoy learning new ways to approach it, always focusing on how to help clients engage in the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit.
